13 - are you losing weight in a healthy or unhealthy way?

Healthy way. I have to admit, sometimes it is tempting to just give up and stop eating, because I want fast results. But I know that isn’t going to be the best in the long run. Healthy is the way to go! :)

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 12!

12 - what do you normally eat?

For breakfast: Cottage cheese, whole grain/wheat toast with natural peanut butter, spinach, onion, and pepper omelette, fruits, greek yogurt etc.

For lunch: Wrap with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard, salad, chicken patty on a whole wheat bun, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, carrots, etc.

For dinner: Chicken with cottage cheese on a tortilla, fish, lots of veggies, etc.

For snacks: Fruits, veggies, greek yogurt, etc.

11 - your favorite thinspo blog and why!

There are so many! Not necessarily thinspo blogs, but healthy weight loss blogs.

Some of my favorites are: fooodbabies skinny-thoughts, health-trition, fit-and-slim, and talk-skinny-to-me :)

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 10!

10 - what was the hardest thing you gave up during this “weight loss.”

I haven’t given anything up! I don’t restrict myself. If I want a brownie, I eat a brownie. Sometimes it is hard to tell myself to not get ANOTHER brownie, but I am working on my willpower. :)

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 9!

09 - did people ever make comments about your weight in a negative way?

Yes. All the time. I’ve never felt good about myself or felt comfortable in my own skin. 

There are two specific moments that stick out to me in my mind. One, there’s this guy named Thomas. He’s one of the more “popular” guys at school, but he’s a year younger than me. Anyway, one day on facebook he chatted me and said “You’re cute.” And so I replied to him, “Oh thanks! :)” I couldn’t believe a cute guy like him would say something like that to me. After that he said, “Just kidding. You’re ugly. And fat.” And he kept typing rude things. I told myself that it was okay, I’d never have to face him because he’s a year younger and we wouldn’t have any classes together. And then he sat next to me in chemistry. Fml. So awkward. He’s in my math class now and I just can’t look at him the same.

And then there was this moment when I was walking to math class. As I was going around a corner, I accidentally bumped into some girl. She screamed, “Excuse me, you whale!” really loud so all could hear. Everybody laughed. It was terrible.

Ugh this made me tear up.

 I’m tired of being treated this way. People are nicer to girls with slimmer bodies. It’s the truth.

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 8!

08 - your workout routine.

It varies from day to day. I usually start out with strength, focusing on one group of muscles. So one day I’ll do legs. Next day I’ll do arms. Abs I do all the time, though. Strength usually lasts about 30 minutes.

After strength I do an hour to an hour and a half of cardio. I like to mix that up, too. Sometimes bike, sometimes running, sometimes arc trainer. And sometimes, if I’m feeling amazing, I’ll do the stairmaster. But that is rare because I despise it :) 

I also try to get in 3-6 minutes of planks every day!

07 - do your parents know you’re trying to lose weight? do they care?

Yes, both my parents know! They’re both proud of me. I’ve heard both of them gush to others about how dedicated I am.

My mom is jumping on the bandwagon with me in a week-ish! That means less unhealthy foods in the house :) 

And my Dad…well. He likes to snack on ice crem and cookies and brownies and all that junk food. But we have an apartment downstairs that my Dad has claimed as his “man cave” and he promises to start baking all these sweets down there so we won’t be tempted to eat them.

06 - do you binge? if so, explain why you think you do.

I have binged once or twice, but that was years ago.  Sure, I have a bad day every now and then when I eat a little too much. Usually when I go out to dinner with my boyfriend or a group of friends. But I don’t let it get me down :)

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 5!

05 - why do you really want to lose this weight? are you doing it for you?

I want to lose this weight because, ever since fifth grade, I’ve been fat. I hide behind baggy clothes, I can never find anything that fits me when I’m shopping, and I am not comfortable with my body whatsoever.

I want to feel comfortable sitting on my boyfriend’s lap, or having him pick me up when we hug. I want to be able to hug him without feeling like he’s touching my disgusting rolls. I want to be able to find clothes at the store that fit me. I want my jeans to stop wearing out between the legs. I want to be able to wear a bikini in public. I want to stop cringing every time I see myself in a mirror.

I WANT TO BE HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL. 

So. Am I doing it for me? Yes, but also no.

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, Day 4!

04 - your greatest fears about weight loss.

My greatest fears? I guess just losing motivation. Not seeing results quick enough and feeling like a failure. I’m scared that halfway through I’ll give up.
